V. Paperie - October

In my last post I said that it was my last box...I was wrong this is my last box from V. Paperie. This is the October box and it had some good stuff in it.

The box included some of my favorite things but I want to start with the Pumpkin Pie Spice candle. I already tried it out and love the smell!

Next up is the Washi Tape. It is orange lol.

This box had three greeting cards. One says Trick or Treat, one says Hello and one just has a pattern on it.

Finally, there was a sturdy notebook. It has lined papers and I will be using it to jot down notes when I study. It is from Rifle Paper Co.

V. Paperie

This is probably my last V. Paperie box for a while since I am trying out a couple of new subscription and I didn’t want to go over my budget limit.

It looks like the Kuwaiti customs decided to take a look inside the box.

The first thing I saw when I pulled the wrapping paper back were the greeting cards. There are three of them to add to my stash.

The next thing to come out of the box is a pair of ballpoint pens. They have a metal body and sport black ink.

The box also has two useful things that went straight to my workstation at home, a box of binder clips and some sticky notes.

Finally, a pack of two pocket size notebooks. They each have 128 lined pages.

I like that this box had a lot of useful things for me. I’m hoping to put them to good use.

V. Paperie August 2017

The theme of this V.Paperie box is very obviously travel and letter writing to travel worthy places. The box as usual has some cards and a writing tool then something extra. So let us get into the box...as usual the Kuwait customs like to take a peek at what is inside...

The first item to come out of the package is a box of cards and envelopes. The box contains 8 folded cards and their matching envelopes. There are 4 designs and 2 cards of each design. Each design represents a country: France, Italy, Spain and England.

What do you need to send said cards? Stamps of course and the package contained unused vintage stamps ready to be used. They are enough postage to use for one standard 1 oz. First Class Letter. They are by Frankie & Claude. The package also included one Le Pen fine pen in blue ink.

If you are anything like me then this next item is going to make your day. When I travel, the part I hate most is packing my bags. I always end up forgetting something. This notepad with its packing checklist is something I see myself using to make my life easier and not forget anything.

I really enjoyed the simplicity and the practicality of this package from V.Paperie.

V. Paperie July 2017

Another day and a new box from V.Paperie. This is the box for July 2017 and here is a beautiful poem to go with it.

So of course the box had to be opened but it didn't look too bad.

I love the colors in this box, they are really cute and that flamingo is da boss! So the first things to come out of the box are the pencils. They also come with a metal sharpener...which I forgot to take a picture of.

Next are the greeting cards: Happy Birthday, Thank You, and one that is generic but with a beautiful design on it.

The sleeping beauty in the box. It is simple but very beautiful and I can't wait to use it. A beautiful A5 notebook with a hard cover and ruled papers inside.

Finally, something that is essential for planning and note taking and goes very well with the A5 notebook: Sticky notes. The designs are just so dang cute!

I'm almost always completely happy with my V.Paperie boxes but this one is my favorite so far.

V. Paperie June 2017

This box from V.Paperie had an interesting theme: Create for you!

Once you open the tissue paper you are bombarded with bright beautiful colours.

The reason for the box is the greeting cards and that is where I'm going to start. There are three cards by V.Paperie, one says "Happy Father's Day", the second says "Happy Birthday" and the third has no sentiment which means it can be used for any occasion. The fourth one though is the most interesting to me. It is a "Create Your Own Card" sort of thing so I can't wait to turn it into a project. I tried to find out the cost for these specific cards but couldn't find them anywhere so I looked for similar ones. They range between 2 and 6 dollars so I decided to go for the middle road of 3 dollars each: approximate cost for all four is 12 dollars.

Next up is a small sketchbook. The paper is pretty sturdy and its size is 5.2in x 4in. Again I could not find a price for this specific one but I found something similar for around 3 to 5 dollars.

I think this next item is my favourite of the whole box. It is Johanna Basford's Secret Garden colouring book but instead of pages, it is actually 20 postcards that you can colour yourself and send.  This book costs 4.97 new on Amazon.com.

My second favourite item in the box and the final one is a bundle of markers. These are BAZIC 12 Fine Line Washable Watercolor Markers. They are conical tipped which means you can draw fine lines and they are water-based and bleed resistant. On Amazon.com they cost 4.33 dollars.

The box almost comes up to 25 dollars, which is what I paid for it. I like this box more than I liked last month's offerings.

V. Paperie May 2017 Box

I got the V. Paperie box last week but didn't open it because I had another box I wanted to review (Papergang). I kept looking at it but stopped myself from opening it until it was time to review it.

For me the V. Paperie box was all about the cards and this box did not disappoint in that respect. I could also spy two things that I usually enjoy when it comes to stationery: pens and notepads.

This pen looked rustic and funky so of course, I loved it. the only gripe I have is that there is no way to retract the nib of the pen. It has black ink.

The notepad has a pretty design on it; unfortunately, it either didn't survive the trip or it didn't survive the Kuwaiti customs. The notepad fell apart but it is still very much usable I just have to keep the ribbon around it when I am done using it.

The reason for the box, three greeting cards. The first says "Thanks", the second says "Congratulations" and the third says "I'm grateful you're my mum". Very pretty!

Finally, a soy candle. It smelled flowery. I'm not a big fan of candles but I know someone who is so, I'm going to give it away as a gift.
Even though I liked all the items in the box, somehow I felt disappointed in the contents. I can't put my finger on why that it. It just felt a little off to me, and not like the previous boxes I had gotten from them. Still, all the products are good quality and will be put to good use.

V. Paperie April 2017 Box

This is the second box I got from V. Paperie and for the second time, I am not disappointed. April is Letter Writing Month and the people at V. Paperie have put together a box to reflect that. But I'm getting ahead of myself. My holding box service has been very erratic in bringing me my boxes of late and I was worried that my V. Paperie box would not arrive, but it did.

Of course, Kuwait customs had to take a peak. I'm starting to think that they like taking a look at my boxes. 😏 But what really caught my eye was the poem that the curators of the box included to tell me (well, the recipient of the box anyway) what the theme of the box for this month is.

I do find the second line of the poem a bit ironic since I've been waiting on letters from International Correspondence Writing Month...that was in February. But that has nothing to do with the box. ONWARDS!

I laughed so hard when I saw these stickie notes. They so sound like me when I am not in the mood for anything. Who knew? Stickie notes with character 😆

Paper Mate Flair (M) in blue this time. I say this time because in a previous box (the Robert Mason Box) I'd gotten the yellow one. I'm enjoying that, I might just end up with the whole collection and save myself the trouble of ordering them 😜

I always look forward to the cards that come in this box. They are usually very pretty and varied enough to be useful and these were no exception. I especially liked the one with the typewriter. I seem to have an obsession with them.

Look at that beauty! The journal is sturdy and has a beautiful cover. I love the feel of the paper and that it is lined. It looks very elegant.

Another amazing box from V. Paperie. You can find them on cratejoy.com.
