Inspire Me Korea - Story Box

          I've been so busy lately with my Korean class as well as a few other classes that I am taking that this blog has completely gone down on my urgent list so for that 정말 죄송합니다! (with a deep bow).      

          I was really looking forward to this box because I wanted to read some Korean folktales. So let us get into it.

          The first thing that caught my eye was this beautiful bookmark. This in and of itself made the box for me. Bookmarks are something that I am addicted to as much as books or pens 😬

          I’ve used this sheet mask before and I love it. In fact I don’t really remember ever hating any of the sheet masks that I’ve gotten in this box. 

          I think this pen is 너무 귀여워요 (very cute)! I have a few of these pens and they really last a long time despite being cutesy. 

          No Inspire Me Korea box is complete with out some sort of snack and this box had two of my favorites! I am very content, yummy!

          The key chain is from Running Man, a variety show, and the photo cards are GOT7, a group I love so I was very happy with them. 

          To me the language card and the magazine are very important and I really enjoy getting and collecting them from every box I’ve gotten so far. 

          I haven’t read this yet but I am really looking forward to doing that. My only wish is that there were also the same stories in Korean so that we can have both English and Korean. 

All in all a great addition to all the other boxes I have gotten from Inspire Me Korea. This will also be my final one for a while. I might buy the one off box from time to time but until I move I’m not going to renew my subscription. I’m really going to miss this box big time.

Inspire Me Korea - June Café Box

   Yesterday I finished the last of the snacks from the last Inspire Me Korea box (yep I can make those suckers last) and was REALLY looking forward to the snacks in this box but I got something better. Let’s get into it!

          The first things that came out of the box were all made of paper. There was the Inspire Me Korea magazine about cafés. I love reading those magazine because they are so informative about what is going on in Korea in that month and about aspects of Korean culture. The interviews included are always interesting. There was a signed exclusive postcard of BTS and songwriter Melanie Fontana. She wrote Boy with Luv and Euphoria. I’m sure you all know I’m not a BTS Stan but I like some of their songs and this is an awesome item to have. There was also the language card which is focused on Café culture. 

          Next out of the box was a Rose Heart sheet mask (or the other option would have been a cactus mask) and a cute French fries pencil case. 

          Next came two things that I think took the place of Korean snacks and I am fine with that. Tea and coffee. I’m okay with tea, but I am a coffee addict and proud of it. I love the Korean coffee mixes for cold coffee since they have milk in them.

          The final three items are all Kpop merch. There was two badges: Stray Kids “we goin’ Higher” and BTS “Boy With Luv” . There was also a set of NCT127 photo cards. I loved all of these!

          This was a great box in terms of Kpop merchandise, café and COFFEE!!!!!

Inspire Me Korea - May Journalling Box

          I was very excited to see what was inside this box since I journal religiously. As usual, I wasn’t disappointed. 

          The first things I saw when I opened the box was the magazine and the language card. I haven’t read the magazine yet but I know it will have a lot of interesting information as usual. The language card was very exciting because it had words that can be used in journalling. 

          The next thing that came out of the box was this cute snack notebook. There are four different food character-themed designs. I got the juice one. I wouldn’t use this for journalling because it is way too thin but I will be using it to jot down ideas for stories or blogs.

          The Bear mouth mask is so dang cute! It reminds me of nini bear (Kai from EXO). I really love it.

          The next two items are used in doodling and journalling. The first is an eraser and the second is a cute set of diary stickers.

          No Inspire Me Korea box is complete without a sheet mask (which I love) and some snacks (which I totally enjoy), and this box is no different. 

As usual an incredible box from Inspire Me Korea!

Inspire Me Korea - Pamper Me Box

This box is a one off box that has nothing to do with the monthly subscription and being the nut that I am for Korean skin products I just had to have it. The theme for this box is “Pamper Me Beauty Box”. 

So the first thing that came out of the box, besides the information magazine was the Sheet Masks. I think I may be addicted to those. I use them 3 times a week and they are awesome because of how easy they are to use and get rid of once it is all done. There is no mess no need to wash your face after and my skin seems to love them. There was 5 masks in the box, three of which come from Secret Nature. The first is the Coconut mask which is supposed to nourish and revitalize tired looking skin. The second is the Green Tea mask which is supposed to prevent the evaporation of moisture while nourishing the skin, and finally, the Strawberry mask which is supposed to soothe and relieve the skin while brightening the skin tone. The other two masks are from Rapha Peri and Sesamis. The Rapha Peri Korean Cactus mask is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and circulation enhancing mask. The Sesamis Ginseng mask will nourish and moisturize tired skin.    

The other products that I am very excited about in the box are the three skin care products. I am always on the look out for a good cleansing foam and a good peeling gel so I can’t wait to try these products. The peeling gel comes from Secret Nature while the cleansing foam and the Natural Aqua Mist come from Sesamis.

Inspire Me Korea - Relaxation box

I seem to always be saying that I am a little behind with my boxes but it is so true! Anyway, this is the November box from Inspire Me Korea and its theme is Relaxation. 

In every box there is the Inspire Me Korea magazine and this issue is entitled Relax. It has secret tips to embrace the best you. The issue is about how Koreans relax and find joy in the simple things in life.

For me the highlight of every box is the sheet mask. This time it is Jeju Natural Aloe Mask and it is supposed to soothe and moisturize. I have to admit, I’m addicted to Korean sheet masks. I’ve tried other ones from known brands but I always come back to the ones made in Korea no matter what brand they are.

I saw this exact eye mask on a reality show worn by a Korean celebrity to bed. This is a Soft Panda sleeping mask.

Cosmic bookmark with “Everything will be alright” in English on one side and Korean on the other. The bookmark is a collaboration between Inspire Me Korea and calligrapher Jang Hyeon Ju.

Finally, no Inspire Me Korea box is complete without snacks. In this box we have tea and crackers. The tea came with two flavors, Green or Buckwheat tea, I got the Green Tea. And for the crackers, it was either Sweet Potato or Cosmos sweet potato, I got the Cosmos sweet potato. Can’t wait to try them both.

Inspire Me Korea - Traditional Box

          I was very excited to get this box from Inspire Me Korea. I love history and this box was all about Traditional Korea.

          The first thing to come out of the box was the 33rd issue of Inspire Me Korea Magazine, and this one is entitled The Tradition. Inside there is a little bit of everything from Korean language tips to Korea’s best kept secret. 

          The Jeju Natural Canola Honey Mask is a sheet mask that I have tried last month and my skin just slurped all the goodness from it. It left my skin nice and hydrated for a few days so I’m happy that I got it again.
     

          Next up is a Calligraphy postcard that was made in collaboration with the artist Jang Hyeon Ju. It looks great and it will make a great addition to a journal entry, a mixed media project or even to send to someone with a heartfelt message.

          This item is a Do It Yourself project. It is a traditional 하회탈, (Hahoetal) named after a village in Korea. This mask looks like the nobleman mask from a collection of 12 masks usually used in plays. Now-a-days they usually have very vivid colors.

      The snack of the box this time is MikWang Whole Wheat Crackers. I saw them and thought...hmm I don’t know if I want to eat this, but once I took a bite I was very surprised. They are yummy as a snack between meals without ruining your appetite for the main meal later. 

         The final item in the box was a Bokjumeoni (복주머니), which means fortune pouch, is a drawstring silk or cotton pouch embroidered with various auspicious symbols that are believed to bring fortune. Inside the pouch there were three traditional Korean coins called Oshuchon (I tried to find the Hangul for this term but couldn’t find it) I think I am going to keep this pouch with me from now on. I need all the luck I can get lately 🤣
