Inspire Me Korea - July Seoul Box

As usual, I was waiting for this box to appear in my mailbox, so when it came I opened it right away. At first I was concerned with how little it seems that the box had compared to previous boxes but I was too hastey with my thoughts. The stuff in the box were so worth what I paid for it and then some.

I collect these magazines. They have so much interesting information about beauty, music, culture and history and this issue was all about the history of Seoul, and the beautiful places that you can find around it right now.

I really love these language cards. They have so much good information on how to say something and it is aimed at the beginner, the intermediate and the advanced speaker. This time it is about modern Korean slang.

Kpop merch is appearning more and more in the boxes and I love it. This time it is from one of my favorite groups, Monsta X. I can see myself at a Monsta X concert carrying this.

I LOVE THESE POLAROIDS! They show beautiful scenes from Seoul and some of its historical and famous sights. It makes me want to see them all the more.

No Inspire Me Korean box is complete without the sheet masks, I've used this one before and I love it. I always look forward to these masks because they are easy to use and get rid off and also they are very hydrating and beneficial for the skin.

I feel like this gem is worth the price of the box without all the other goodies in it. It has 187 pages of colorful information on each district of Seoul and the most important places in them. It also has some historical information and useful phrases and websites that can be of help to the tourists.

SNACKS! Need I say more? Always delicious, always interesting and always something new for me to dream about finding here in Kuwait. We do have 2 Korean markets here but they don't have everything.

Inspire Me Korea - Pamper Me Box

This box is a one off box that has nothing to do with the monthly subscription and being the nut that I am for Korean skin products I just had to have it. The theme for this box is “Pamper Me Beauty Box”.

So the first thing that came out of the box, besides the information magazine was the Sheet Masks. I think I may be addicted to those. I use them 3 times a week and they are awesome because of how easy they are to use and get rid of once it is all done. There is no mess no need to wash your face after and my skin seems to love them. There was 5 masks in the box, three of which come from Secret Nature. The first is the Coconut mask which is supposed to nourish and revitalize tired looking skin. The second is the Green Tea mask which is supposed to prevent the evaporation of moisture while nourishing the skin, and finally, the Strawberry mask which is supposed to soothe and relieve the skin while brightening the skin tone. The other two masks are from Rapha Peri and Sesamis. The Rapha Peri Korean Cactus mask is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and circulation enhancing mask. The Sesamis Ginseng mask will nourish and moisturize tired skin.

The other products that I am very excited about in the box are the three skin care products. I am always on the look out for a good cleansing foam and a good peeling gel so I can’t wait to try these products. The peeling gel comes from Secret Nature while the cleansing foam and the Natural Aqua Mist come from Sesamis.

Inspire Me Korea - Relaxation box

I seem to always be saying that I am a little behind with my boxes but it is so true! Anyway, this is the November box from Inspire Me Korea and its theme is Relaxation.

In every box there is the Inspire Me Korea magazine and this issue is entitled Relax. It has secret tips to embrace the best you. The issue is about how Koreans relax and find joy in the simple things in life.

For me the highlight of every box is the sheet mask. This time it is Jeju Natural Aloe Mask and it is supposed to soothe and moisturize. I have to admit, I’m addicted to Korean sheet masks. I’ve tried other ones from known brands but I always come back to the ones made in Korea no matter what brand they are.

I saw this exact eye mask on a reality show worn by a Korean celebrity to bed. This is a Soft Panda sleeping mask.

Rabbit socks, soft and cute. Also exactly my size 😬

Cosmic bookmark with “Everything will be alright” in English on one side and Korean on the other. The bookmark is a collaboration between Inspire Me Korea and calligrapher Jang Hyeon Ju.

Finally, no Inspire Me Korea box is complete without snacks. In this box we have tea and crackers. The tea came with two flavors, Green or Buckwheat tea, I got the Green Tea. And for the crackers, it was either Sweet Potato or Cosmos sweet potato, I got the Cosmos sweet potato. Can’t wait to try them both.

Inspire Me Korea - Traditional Box

I was very excited to get this box from Inspire Me Korea. I love history and this box was all about Traditional Korea.

The first thing to come out of the box was the 33rd issue of Inspire Me Korea Magazine, and this one is entitled The Tradition. Inside there is a little bit of everything from Korean language tips to Korea’s best kept secret.

The Jeju Natural Canola Honey Mask is a sheet mask that I have tried last month and my skin just slurped all the goodness from it. It left my skin nice and hydrated for a few days so I’m happy that I got it again.

Next up is a Calligraphy postcard that was made in collaboration with the artist Jang Hyeon Ju. It looks great and it will make a great addition to a journal entry, a mixed media project or even to send to someone with a heartfelt message.

This item is a Do It Yourself project. It is a traditional ν•˜νšŒνƒˆ, (Hahoetalnamed after a village in Korea. This mask looks like the nobleman mask from a collection of 12 masks usually used in plays. Now-a-days they usually have very vivid colors.

The snack of the box this time is MikWang Whole Wheat Crackers. I saw them and thought...hmm I don’t know if I want to eat this, but once I took a bite I was very surprised. They are yummy as a snack between meals without ruining your appetite for the main meal later.

The final item in the box was a Bokjumeoni (λ³΅μ£Όλ¨Έλ‹ˆ), which means fortune pouch, is a drawstring silk or cotton pouch embroidered with various auspicious symbols that are believed to bring fortune. Inside the pouch there were three traditional Korean coins called Oshuchon (I tried to find the Hangul for this term but couldn’t find it) I think I am going to keep this pouch with me from now on. I need all the luck I can get lately 🀣

Inspire Me Korea - Street Food

This is the second box I got from Inspire me Korea. And here I want to talk about their customer service which rocks. I noticed that after I got the initial notification that my box was being sent I never got an email from the deliver company so I sent an email to the people at Inspire me Korea. They were really nice and checked everything out for me and when they realized that the post company lost my box they sent me a replacement which arrived one day after they sent it. I was very happy with their service! Now back to the box. I was very curious as to what they will include in their box because the theme was Street Food.

The first thing that came out of the box was a bamboo mat used for wrapping Kimbap. I just bought a Korean recipe book and can’t wait to use it.

The other thing that caught my eye was the Mandu Dumpling Mould case. The first thing I eat at a Korean restaurant is always steamed dumplings. So if I can make them myself using this mould I see a lot of dumplings in my future πŸ˜‚

So this next thing was a little weird and a lot squishy and at first, I could not figure out what it is and so I went to the Inspire Me Korea blog to find out what it was. Turned out to be a squishy Mochi Keyring.

The next two items are snacks. The first is Sesame Flavored Seaweed Snack and the second is Indian Corn Snack. I can’t wait to try them out. I've tried both out and I loved them both though my absolute favorite was the Corn Snack.

I’m very excited to try this sheet mask. I love Korean sheet masks they are always hydrating and of good quality.

Finally, the magazine. It has lots of interesting information about culture and beauty. There is an interview with an Indy band and some history on street food.
