Kpop September Haul and Kpop News

This blog is going to be a mix of Kpop news and Kpop haul for this month. I want to start with the Kpop haul first.

EXO PRESENT:

Previously EXO had put out a Photobook called Gift, well now they have graced us with this new Photobook called Present.

The book is very sturdy and I love that it lays flat when you open it to look at the pictures. This is great for when you see a picture that is extended into the opposite page. The pictures were taken on their trip to Hawaii.

It also comes with two pictures in plastic covering with the boys split into two groups, 4 in each picture.

Look at those two army buddies sitting together. I miss them both.

The picture book is gorgeous and it shows the playfulness and the beauty of all the members in the pictures.

EXO-SC:

I know what you are thinking...didn’t you already show us this album...yes but this is the Kihno Version. (Yes I’m obsessed with my babies, I feel like a proud mom so let me be).

I got both versions available of course because why not and who needs to eat anyway :-p

I think I only have two complaints...well one and a half. The full complaint is that the booklet that comes with each album will not stay flat unless I break the spine and that might make the pages come out. And my half complaint is that I didn’t get a Chanyeol card. But it isn’t a full complaint because I got an extra Sehun one.

SUPER M

This new/old group is going to debut next month and I have tons to say about it so it will be getting a blog of its own later on. They will be debuting in October.

Chen’s Second Mini Album - Dear, My Dear:

Next month is going to be a really busy one with a lot of my favorite groups and individuals making a comeback. Chen is the one I am really looking forward too.  I’ve already pre-ordered the album in its two versions and after hearing the teasers....Chen always delivers!!!!

Check out the two Highlight Medleys he has already put out and the teaser MV. They will all give you chills...that voice...that voice. It doesn’t hurt that he is handsome too.

Now look at some of these beautiful concept photos!!!

This interview was dropped today (the day the blog was posted):

ATEEZ - Full Album:

Ateez will be having a comeback in October as well. With a full album this time and from what I can see it is the final episode to their Treasure series. It is called All to Action.

October is also going to be their first anniversary hence the below posters. It is going to be an event that will take place on that day.

The tracklist has been released.

I think they pull off this look so dang well!! The album will be released on October 8, 2019. I've already pre-ordered my albums.

Two teasers were dropped today (on the day this blog was posted) so here they are:

HONGJOONG’s teaser

SEONGHWA’s teaser

SUPER JUNIOR - Time Slip:

Super Junior will also be having a comeback!

I love the look of these posters! Their album will be released on October 14, 2019.

The track list was dropped today (on the day this is posted) so here it is!

EXO NEWS:

Recently on a live, Baekhyun was talking about his activities for SuperM but he also let slip that the EXO members are starting to record songs for their comeback. No date that I know of has been set. I’m leaving you with pictures of EXO members from their various solo activities!

EXO -Lay:

Lay released this song on September 9th on Weibo. He didn't even advertise it on his Instagram.
It is a beautiful song and very poignant one.

Listen to this beautiful love song while you look at his beautiful profile...

Inspire Me Korea - K-Fashion Box

This box has a story. It was supposed to arrive last month but it never did. I contacted the curators of the box and they investigated then sent me a replacement and this is what I love about Inspire Me Korea. They are sweet, very helpful and always answer questions promptly. Their customer service is top notch. Now on to the content of the box.

I was very surprised when I opened the box and there was no mask sheet but then I looked closely and found out why. There was four small tubes of toothepaste instead. The toothepaste is by a Korean brand called First Salt. The toothepaste is called Grey Salt. It is supposed to be very good for your teethe and gums. I’m really looking forward to trying them out. They were one of the things I looked forward too in the box.

Next thing to come out of the box was the glasses. I think they look really cute and I’m kind of wondering if I should give them away to a young cousin or add prescription lenses to them and keep them as a spare for myself. I need to have a think 😬

The choker necklace with the silver triangle is an accessory that I probably can’t wear because it is a little too small for me so I’m going to give it away to one of the younger cousins whom I know loves this sort of thing. He’ll be very excited to get it I’m sure.

I REALLY love the hair clips. They are exactly the type that I like to wear and they are sturdy enough to stay put in my hair. I’ve already worn them a couple of times and they look really cute.

Next up is the snacks. I got two this time. One is something I’ve eaten previously by Lotte and the other is something new. I’m going to try them out soon (if I haven’t already by the time I publish this blog).

Finally, the two things that I would totally miss if they were ever missing from the box. I’m pretty much flexible on anything but these two items. The first is the Magazine which always has amazing information on the culture of Korea and what is going on in each month and the second is the language card which I always learn from and apply to my studies.

As usual, when it comes to Inspire Me Korea I am never disappointed by their offerings and their customer service.

Update on Repurposed Journal

I wanted to share with you an update on the condition of my repurposed notebook which I now use as my journal. If you have not read about it before check out how I repurposed the notebook here
For the most part the notebook has held up well so far. The problem is with the spine. I forgot to add some cloth tape that is used for book binding to the spine and as a result the edge of the notebook cracked.

I had to add some washi tape as a stop gap measure until I fine a better way of fixing it without having to rip the cover off and do the spine over again with bookbinding cloth to hold it together.

On the inside I now cover the writing at the head of the page with washi tape (different colors for different months) and add the sticker calendar as my monthly first page.  I also use pretty memo stickers to write the date on as a way to beautify the page.

I hope you enjoyed this update on my semi-creations.

Ferris Wheel Notebooks

So a few months back I backed a Kickstarter Campaign for Ferris Wheel Press that was going to make special notebooks. I decided to get one of each size to try out because I had never tried these sizes before on a journal. They arrived a few weeks ago but I decided that I was going to keep them to start at the new year. However, I decided to give you a quick look at them and talk about them a bit.

As I previously said, there are two sizes to choose from and three colors. These are the ones I chose. They also come in Coral Soda and Pebble Grey.

I'm going to start with the notebook that looks like the Traveler's Notebook. This one is called the Nothing Left Notebook. This notebook is geared towards the task oriented journaler. The one who likes to make lists, to-do lists. The notebook has an ultra-soft, cruelty free vegan leather cover, 176 acid free dot grid pages, fountain pen and brush marker friendly, the paper is 100gsm, and it is sized at 215mm x 105mm.

It has an elastic closer.

A place to write your name or any details you want.

White paper and a yellow bookmark. It also lays down flat which is something that is essential for most journalers.

Next up is the Always Right Notebook. This one is aimed at the creative journaler. The one that likes to sketch, paint or add photo memories into their journal.

The notebook is square, which is kind of unique for journals. It has the same vegan leather cover that the Nothing Left notebook has.

The same place to add any details you want about yourself.

The same 176 acid free paper with dot grid. The same weight, at 100gsm, which makes it fountain pen and brushmarker friendly. I've also seen people use watercolors on it but I would advise caution since the paper is only 100gsm and too much water can warp the paper.

There is also this cute little doodle that is different in every page.

And of course the bookmark.

I love the feel and texture of the paper and the journal that I bought two more of the Always Right one. I will wait to order more of the Nothing Left one until I've tried it as I usually need a lot of space in my journal for my writing and pictures.

You can get the Always Right Notebook Here for 26 USD and the Nothing Left Notebook Here for 26 USD. They also have accessories for the notebooks and pretty pens and inks so make sure you check out their website Here.
