Neko Box - Moonlit Nights

This is the last box from Neko box and I’m sorry to see the subscription end. Their shop and Zakka Kit subscription will be continuing though so that is okay.
So the themes of the box are moonlit nights and holiday seasons. This box is the December box.

The first thing that came out of the box was the Winter Furoshiki Cloth. I could have gotten one of two designs: Golden crane with Moon or Camellia Flowers with cat. I got the Golden crane.

The next three things out of the box were the blue speckled bowl, the gold and blue mini cup, and the night sky plate.

I love when I get chopsticks and these are in the color blue.

Finally, a postcard print. This was printed on metallic gold foil.

I’m really going to miss this box. It always had some unique and interesting pieces which I would never have chosen for myself but still ended up loving.

Spotlight Stationery -June 2018

The theme for this box is “All That Glitters” and the box insides looked all goldy...

I’m going to start with the personalized envelope and the pretty postcards inside. I’m loving the simple yet beautiful art on these postcards.

This box has two beautiful notebooks, the first is by Spotlight Stationery and is a pocket notebook.

The second notebook is a Ventaglio Rosso “Flexis”.

I love me some washi tape and this one is really cute.

Finally a batch of pens, a pencil, and some cute paper clips.

As usual, the price of this box includes a donation to From Me To You , a charity which encourages people to write letters to cancer patients. I'm loving the feel of the notebooks and using the pens well.

The Zakka Kit - May 2018

I'm a little behind on some boxes, so please forgive me. Now on to the box. The theme for the May box was Kokeshi! Kokeshi are hand-crafted dolls.

Every Zakka Kit comes wrapped in amazing wrapping paper which I have used as part of multi-media projects as well as to wrap gifts. This kit is no different.

The kit has Kokeshi Memo Pad, Classiky Kokeshi Washi tape, Kokeshi stickers, Kokeshi mini stamp, red ink pad, Kokeshi stamp stickers, and Kokeshi Sakura postcard. So let us look at them individually.

Kokeshi Memo Pad by Green Flash has four different colorful vintage Kokeshi pages. The pages a smooth and sturdy.

Classiky Kokeshi washi tape by Classiky and Yonagadou, I got the pink version but there is also a blue one.

Kokeshi stickers by Mindwave and they come in three different designs. I don't know what the other two designs look like but this is what the one I got looks like.

The next two items go together, the stamp and the ink pad are both by Kodomo No Kao.

The four stamp stickers are so cute! They are by Classiky and Mihoko Seki and they are deliberately made to look like large vintage stamps.

And finally, a Kokeshi Sakura postcard by Frontia. There were two different designs and this is the one I got.

I love my Zakka Kits, they always have things that I will definitely use whether in everyday situations or art.

Spotlight Stationery

I don't think I laughed as hard as this when reading any note card from a subscription box before; however, as soon as I read the theme from this box of Spotlight Stationery I burst out laughing. It tickled my weird sense of humor. The theme was "From the Sea: Stationery for foodies!" Even before I really looked at what was inside the box I was wondering how they were going to pull that off and they did not disappoint!

The personalized envelope with the beautiful post cards came first. These featured interesting pieces of art work from illustrators as usual but I'm not sure that they really fit in with the theme of the box. I still enjoyed them very much though so no worries!

The next thing that caught my eye is the pens and pencil. You know me, I love pens and pencils. I can never have enough of those. There was a Blackwing pencil in pearl color so I guess that is the bit that had to do with the sea lol. Here is the thing, I've been meaning to buy one of these pencils and now I don't have too!!!!!

Next up are the cards. Both had lots of sea life on them and yes! I started to feel a craving for some fish 😜

There was one final goody in the box and that is a notebook from Poach My Lobster. It has a...you guessed it, lobster on the top and it is in a pretty color that I like. It will be used with relish!

As usual the curators of the Spotlight Stationery box have done a great job with their selection of items...some may not have exactly fit in with the theme of the box but most did and all the items in the box were something that I would not hesitate to use.

Spotlight Stationery

The theme for this box is Bright! The purchase price of this starionery box includes a donation to From Me To You, a charity which encourages people to write letters to cancer patients.

A collaboration between Craig from DarkStar and Spotlight Stationery resulted in these beautiful  handmade pocket notebooks, the last ones he will make.

I love post its, and the ones from SemiKolon are the best.

Every box from Spotlight Stationery contains pens and this one is no exception. I openned the box in front of my friend and she took them all!!!

A pair of clips from Rapesco are also included in this box.

Finally, four post cards with beautiful drawings in a personalized envelope.
